I was born in Chicago and became a huge fan of Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. My family moved to Colorado when I was 10 and it became tougher to follow my favorite player and team. This is when I first discovered the Rocky Mountain News. The Rocky was a way from me to check on the Bulls during the season and in early rounds of the playoffs before they moved the games to national TV. I tried to read the Rocky every day I could.

One of the great joys of being involved in Colorado campaigns has been the Rocky Mountain News and its political reporters.

Rep. Rob Witwer, the outgoing state representative for House District 25, wrote about his support for the Rocky in an op-ed for the Canyon Courier.
